So pguy is tired & he goes home to his modest crib to get some well needed shuteye. But wait, let's check out some of what's going on in Tellyland...surprise, amidst the infomercials & other am shows is our Mr. Aiken on another network(i.e. a network that doesn't count) & he's plugging his new album.... & he's going to do a song off that album! Hooray, yes we are excited..and yes we are infected(inflicted?--same thing) with Idolitis. But this Clay dude is great--he sang "I'm On My Way"--and reminds us how boring & forgettable these remaining contestants on this season's Idol have become for the most part.. granted they're talented('cept for Jason, who recently is saving up his talent like a squirrel saves its nuts---maybe the same squirrel took Jason's----ah,nevermind!), but they don't have that 'thing' that Clay has....you know, that kind of 'thing' that you know it when you hear it. And when pguy first saw Clay during season 2 of AI, he said: " who the %&$#* is this geek?" But when he then opened up his mouth & that tone came out...well, pguy was instanteously a believer. How could that come out of something like that/ But that incongruentity is what initially hooked him on this Idolopolis. Cuz what he thought was stupid & timewasting became an obsession due to this fascinating surprise. But not these last four. The only exciting moments came when Syesha broke down after Randy criticized her performance of "A Change Is Gonna Come"(BTW, pguy agrees 100% with his assessment). OMG,she's either really alive or she's the best actress ever!! Truly a dramatic moment! And the second best was when Simon ruthlessly unloaded on Jason & Randy/Paula protected our dreadlocked stoner. But hey, he was atrocious!!! If there's any justice, he should be gone tonight. But with the power of his legion of fans & VFTW, one never knows....
Last night's show was horrific with a capital H & also made you appreciate the classic artists that did the originals of these songs. Needless to say(but we will anyway), we didn't really enjoy any of the performances.....
