For the past six years, the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County and KCOY CBS 12 have partnered together for the annual KCOY Spring Food Drive. Each year over 100 businesses, schools, churches, and civic organizations join KCOY CBS 12 in collecting thousands of pounds of non-perishable foods for the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.
Two years ago the KCOY Spring Food Drive expanded to include San Luis Obispo County by working with the San Luis Obispo Coalition. The 2007 food drive collected more than 150,000 pounds of food and more than $24,000.
Over the years, this food drive has become a vital part of Foodbank food distribution efforts. With the KCOY 2008 Spring Food Drive signature yellow food collection barrels placed at grocery stores, high schools, churches and businesses throughout Santa Barbara County everyone has an opportunity to participate.

Sugar
Coffee/Tea
Diapers
Pasta

Remember monetary donations are always welcomed!!! Funds are needed this year just as desperately as food items. The Foodbank can stretch dollars. Please make checks payable to the Foodbank.
You can help by donating canned goods in any of the yellow KCOY Spring Food Drive barrels up and down the Central Coast. You can also bring canned goods to the KCOY studios during the Food Drive (April 21-May21). KCOY is open Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm.
You can mail monetary donations (please make checks payable to the Foodbank) to KCOY Spring Food Drive, 1211 W. McCoy Lane, Santa Maria, CA. Please note whether your donation goes to Santa Barbara County or San Luis Obispo County.
On May 21 food and funds donations will be accepted all day by local television and radio personalities at the KCOY studios (6am to 7pm). KCOY CBS 12 is located at 1211 W. McCoy Lane in Santa Maria.
