The SANTA BARBARA MUSIC CLUB presents another in its popular series of free concerts of beautiful Classical Music at Faulkner Gallery in the downtown Public Library.  The program opens with Haydn's sparkling Sonata in C major, performed by pianist Jack Artusio.  Next, soprano Takako Wakita and pianist John Sonquist present rarely performed gems from the vocal repertoire:  Quatro madrigales amatorios, by Joaquin Rodrigo, The Ash Grove, a traditional Welsh Folk Song, and Come To the Fair, by Easthope Martin. Next, violinist Philip Ficsor and Emma Lou Diemer present the World Premiere of Diemer's Suite for Violin and Piano (2008), and the program concludes with one of Beethoven's most romantic works for violin and piano, the Sonata in G major, Op. 30, No. 3, played by Ficsor and pianist Betty Oberacker.
